The REPAIR Utility The REPAIR utility is designed to modify DB2 data and associated data structures when there is an error or problem. You can use the REPAIR utility to perform the following tasks : -
Test DBD definitions -
Repair DBDs by synchronizing DB2 Catalog database information with the DB2 Directory DBD definition -
Reset a pending status on a table space or index -
Verify the contents of data areas in table spaces and indexes -
Replace the contents of data areas in table spaces and indexes (using a zap) -
Delete a single row from a table space -
Produce a hexadecimal dump of an area in a table space or index -
Delete an entire LOB from a LOB table space -
Dump LOB pages -
Rebuild OBDs for a LOB table space REPAIR Phases The REPAIR utility has three phases, regardless of which type of REPAIR is run.
