LDIFDE

LDIFDE is Microsoft's command-line implementation of a tool for doing import and export of LDAP data using the standard format known as Lightweight Data Interchange Format (LDIF). LDIF files are the de facto standard for providing schema extensions to Active Directory and ADAM, so this tool is important for schema management tasks. In Chapter 7, we recommended using LDIF files exclusively for schema extension tasks.

LDIFDE is a useful tool in its own right for general export and import of LDAP data.

LDIFDE is also packaged with the Windows Admin Pack and with distributions of ADAM.
