- Creating Mail-Enabled Applications
- Using Triggers to Send Email
- Sending Mail with LotusScript
By now, you have seen just how powerful Lotus Notes and Domino are as an application-development system. Perhaps the most powerful feature ”mail-enabling an application ”is described in this chapter. Merging the mail engine with a database means that the database is not static. Using the mail engine, the database can take actions based on internal conditions and without human intervention. Because the application is still a database, at any point in time, anyone who is authorized may open the database and check the status of a workflow process. This capability has enabled Lotus Notes and Domino to become the premier groupware application-development system.
