Implementing Form-Level Security
Create and read access lists are the basis of security at the form level. These are both maintained in the security tab of the Form properties box. These two options operate in the same way as the read access list for a view. Figure 23.18 illustrates the form level security settings.

At the form level, you can restrict both who can create documents using the form and/or who can read documents using the form. Simply deselect the appropriate check box and then select the users, groups, servers, and roles that should be able to perform one or both of these functions.
Additionally, you should notice the Available to Public Access Users box at the bottom of Figure 23.18. We covered the settings for public access in the ACL, but not how to create a public access form. There are two steps to creating a public access form for create access:
- Select Available to Public Access Users from the Security tab of the Form properties box.
- Create a field in the form with a name of $PublicAccess . Make the data type Text and the field type Computed when Composed. Put the number 1 in the Formula field.
