Avoiding poorly written applications requires a solid foundation in writing good programs and, in the world of LotusScript, good LotusScript programs. The purpose of this chapter was to provide the foundations for writing excellent LotusScript in Domino. The coverage of basic software-construction techniques and the fundamental elements of LotusScript and how they are used will provide the basis of a solid working knowledge of LotusScript.
