Other Uses for Java

Summary

This chapter began with an overview of the Java language and then focused on the most common type of Notes program: Java agents . It concluded by outlining the many other ways that allow you to use Java with Domino ”namely, applets, servlets, and applications.

Although it might seem somewhat overwhelming, the best way to explore the Java capabilities of Domino R5 is to dive right in and code what comes to mind. I'm sure you'll agree: The new possibilities are endless. We'll explore a number of them in Chapter 19.
