The Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) allows you to view the performance of a specific CallManager server, and is geared for CallManager-specific counters. It also offers the ability to send e-mail alerts when the CallManager exceeds specific thresholds.

The RTMT allows you to save multiple configuration profiles, which allows you to open a predefined set of counters to quickly monitor specific areas of the CallManager cluster. RTMT identifies these profiles by their name and description.

Cisco designed the RTMT window to allow easy navigation through the various performance counters of a Cisco CallManager server. This includes the support of multiple tabs to allow many different elements to be viewed at one time. The RTMT does provide performance monitoring similar to the Microsoft Performance Monitor; however, it has many distinct differences that tune it to be more effective in monitoring CallManager servers. The Alert Central feature of RTMT offers the ability to send e-mail alerts when the CallManager exceeds specific thresholds.
