Monitoring QoS
Summary
QoS is a robust feature that provides network professionals a means to prioritize time-sensitive and critical data over regular traffic. The two modes, traffic prioritization and traffic policing, can be deployed in Cisco ASA to guarantee that important traffic goes through during network congestion. Cisco ASA allows you to fine-tune the QoS engine by setting the transmit ring and priority queue depths to control data delay. This chapter also assists in monitoring traffic statistics such as the number of packets matching the priority and best-effort QoS policies.
