You need to size the chart to fit on your page. Because the chart is an object in Word, it has a border and sizing handles around it.

Click on the chart to select it. A border with sizing handles displays around the chart.
If you double-click on the chart, an Excel window opens, showing the worksheet. You can close the Excel window to continue working with your Word document.

Right-click on the chart, and then click Format Object. The Format Object dialog box displays.

In the Format Object dialog box, click the Size tab. The check boxes for Lock aspect ratio and for Relative to original picture size should be selected.

Under Scale, triple-click in the Height box, type 65 and then click in the Width box.
The Width box also displays 65% because of the Lock aspect ratio option. Changing the height proportionately changes the size of the entire chart to about 65 percent of its original size.

Click OK. The chart size adjusts, and it fits well on the page. Compare your screen with Figure 4.3.
